ZIM-Database and ZIM-Software Consulting

The most common task we have been asked to solve as consultants for ZIM, is the apparent Hanging of ZIM applications. This occurs for many reasons, but it is almost always record locking.
Record locking in ZIM requires careful design. If an application did not have this design embedded within it's origin, then without this careful consideration, most ZIM applications are doomed.
We have conquered this failure and repaired many ZIM based applications.
To date, applications like VaultMaster and Tracker management software have used our services in addition to our own product line, FIXPro.com.
In the cases of the Cash Room Management software of VaultMaster large databases on unix with a large user base over 80 servers that were supported 24x7x365, our services increased uptime.
In the cases of Tracker Management we supplied new custom features.
In almost all the ZIM applications we are engage in, one thing tends to hold true. The original software development company had a niche they understood very well. That market niche was not large enough to attract large software companies and the original product did very well in modest terms. The code developed also was successfull in accomplishing the task at hand and evolved into something that the customers could not replace, without large capital investments.
In most cases, this meant there were a couple of calculation modules or algorithms that were R&D intense to reverse engineer or re-program.
The way we have conquered this has been different in each situation.
